Poor Run Continues

Barnsley suffered another defeat at Championship leaders Southampton following Adam Lallana`s brace at St Mary`s.

The Saints took the lead following a Rickie Lambert knockdown and Lallana was on hand to drill the ball home from 18 yards out on 36 minutes.

His second came after good work from Tadanari Lee, who pulled the ball back for Lallana to tap in on 54 minutes.

Barnsley`s best chance came from youngster Danny Rose who was second half substitute. But he could only direct his header on to the bar to condemn the reds to 5th straight away defeat.
