Barnsley vs. Wolves

Oakwell

Tuesday 19th February 2013

7.45pm

Barnsley v Wolves

Barnsley are hoping to maintain their current good run of form when they entertain Wolves at Oakwell.

A win for the reds would lift them out of the bottom three at the expense of their visitors.

Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Flicker wonderland

Barnsley Team News:

Kelvin Etuhu broke his nose at MK Dons and is unlikely to feature. With Stephen Dawson still out it could mean that the midfield has a more attacking look to it with O`Brien and Mellis both starting alongside Perkins. Another possibility is that Delap will come in alongside Perkins with Wiseman at right wing back.

After resting a few players at Milton Keynes on Saturday I expect Flicker to go back to his full strength team.

I expect the team to be:

GK Steele
CB Cranie
CB Foster
CB Kennedy
RWB Delap
LWB Goldbourne
CM Perkins
CM O`Brien
CM Mellis
ST Dagnall
ST Harewood

Subs
Alnwick
Hassell
Wiseman
Cywka
Scotland
O`Grady
Rose

Player to watch: Scotland

He`s had a match off from scoring now so I`m hopeful he can pop up with another tonight.

Wolves Team News:

Stephen Ward is expected to recover from illness and Roger Johnson has completed his three match ban.

Player to watch: Ebanks-Blake

11 goals so far this season for the Wolves striker.

Well I am opting for a 21 win tonight. Lets remember that a loss would not be the end of the world, We are well on our way to 50 points now. 2 points from the next 2 would not be a disaster, though I would prefere 4 or 6!

it wouldnt suprise me if, nowing that they would move out of the bottom 3 if they win, that we go an get em by the throat and win 3-0 !!! what more of an incentive do they need.and again on saturday, they are up against the manager who thought ,basically we are not good enough, so he chose bristol city.
torrox tyke
I like it torrox, I hope you are right. And forgot about the O'Driscoll factor on Saturday.

I think this will be one game too many and we won't have enough so I'm going for Barnsley 1 - 2 Wolves. Scotland to come on and get a consolation.

Don't really like making predictions, but I hope the lads can keep this "we don't want to lose" attitude going until the end of the season...form says we should get 3 point tonight and 3 more on Saturday, but It'll be like being in 2 cup finals, so anything c an happen, but I'd like to think it will be at least 4 points form the next 2 games, (6 points would be fantastic) and let's not forget, there's Bolton just round the corner, so could even be 9 points if they can keep up this great form..?
Engleberthumbertyke
As for the team I would like to see Bobby keep his place at the back but if not there use him as the holding midfielder instead of Etuhu. And bring Delap back in at right back and get Wiseman back on the bench.
TonyTyke77
I would like to see Bobby protect the back 3 tonight too. Though I am positive I want to give us every chance of a clean sheet tonight, this meaning we cannot lose the game.
oldtimetyke
i disagree, leave the team as predicted.its a more attacking line up without Bobby.attack is the best form of defence, let them worry about us !!!!
torrox tyke
Fair point Torrox, Though I In Flicker We Trust Get behind the lads!!!!
oldtimetyke
it doesnt matter who plays, lets all be the extra man.
torrox tyke
Everyone is behind the team (except for you know who)...you can rely on Tony to put a downer on proceedings...No pleasing some folk eh!
Engleberthumbertyke
Tony whats your seat number I think could do with a chat tonight!!!!
oldtimetyke
He seems to have gone quiet now, surely even Tony must be cheering up with the run we're on and being out of the bottom 3.
