Barnsley v Cardiff City

Barnsley welcome Dave Jones and his Cardiff side to Oakwell this evening

Davey wants goals

Barnsley manager Simon Davey has said that he wants his team to be more clinical in front of goal.

He told the clubs official website:

'We have to be more clinical in front of goal. I am not singling out our strikers and it goes for everybody but we have had chances to finish teams off in every game this season and not done that. We have not had the right quality in the final third and if we can find that it will turn our season around. We need to sharpen up and there is not much else wrong.'

Cardiff manager Dave Jones believes his side can still improve on their relatively good performances in the last two games. Jones told Cardiff's official website:

'I still don't think we are firing on all cylinders, but we played some good football on Saturday and we want to keep that up against Barnsley.'

Barnsley Team News:

Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce looks set for a return to the starting line-up after missing the start of the season with a dislocated elbow.

Maceo Rigters (hamstring) and Michael Coulson (knee) are still out.

Player to watch: Hugo's Home Debut

The Barnsley fans who didn't see the Blackpool game will be keeping an eye on Hugo Roberto Colace as the Argentine prepares for his home debut.

Cardiff City Team News:

Ross McCormack may start after fully recovering from injury.

Mark Kennedy (groin), Riccy Scimeca (ankle), Darcy Blake and Tony Capaldi are all ruled out.

Player to watch: Jay Due A Goal

Jay Boothroyd is due a goal for the Bluebirds so the Reds will have to be on their guard.
