Saturday 13th September

3pm

Blackpool v Barnsley

BFC versus BFC, Simon Grayson versus Simon Davey, and of course, Lancashire versus Yorkshire.

Simon Davey marches his men to Blackpool searching for his first away win of the season.

Vital Quotes:

Blackpool defender Ian Evett threw fuel on the flames that already exists between these two relegation candidates with his comments ahead of the big game:

Evett told the Blackpool Gazette:

'It is the start of a run of games that are crucial to our season. The lads have earmarked the next two games as possible victories.

'The bottom line is that if we are going to stay in this league we have to beat teams like Barnsley.'

The Tangerine's manager Simon Grayson is expecting a tough match this weekend:

He told blackpoolfc.co.uk:

'They have a group of players that have been around together, they had a fantastic run in the FA Cup, so we know it is going to be a difficult game.'

Blackpool Team News:

Stephen Crainey will definitely not feature whilst former Barnsley favourite Daniel Nardiello may start on the bench for the Seasiders.

Loanees Mo Camara and Alan Gow may start for the home side.

Player to watch: Steve Kabba

Steve Kabba. The quick forward has an eye for goal, and is due one too, so the Reds must be on their guard.

Barnsley Team News:

Simon Davey isn't sure whether to start striker Iain Hume after the Canadian made two international appearances whilst clocking up over 11,000 air miles in the space ten days.

Argentine midfielder Hugo Roberto Colace may be thrown straight into the middle of the park after the 24-year-old was finally granted international clearance.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Gary Teale, Martin Devaney and Mounir El Haimour are battling it out for places on the wings.

Maceo Rigters and Diego Leon are both out injured.

Player to watch: Hugo Roberto Colace

All eyes will be on former Newell's Old Boys midfielder Hugo Roberto Colace. The Argentine will be hoping to impress the Barnsley faithful as he gets his first chance to show off what he is capable.
