Muller Keeps Ipswich At Bay
Heinz Muller produced some wonderful saves to earn Barnsley a point, denying Ipswich what would have been a thirteenth straight home win.
Istvan Ferenczi went close for Barnsley early on but then Muller showed the kind of form that is alerting Premier League sides to his ability as he denied Tommy Miller, Jonathan Walters and Gavin Williams.
As Simon Davey said he was happy with a point well earned, but was also a little disappointed that chances weren't taken that could have seen Barnsley win: "We acquitted ourselves well, especially in the first half. We passed the ball well and didn't come here for a point - we came to win the game and everyone can see that in the way we passed and created chances.
"In the second half we defended well and I was pleased with our all-round performance. It takes a bit of magic to score sometimes and Ipswich just couldn't unlock us.
"My players were strong and stood up to be counted. We got a point but on another day, if we'd taken our chances, it could have been a different story."
Barnsley welcome Wolves to Oakwell on Tuesday night.
