MacDonald Signs New Contract

MacDonald Signs New Contract

Great News from Oakwell today with Angus MacDonald signing a new contract until the end of the 2018/19 season.

MacDonald has been excellent for the reds this season and him putting pen to paper along with goalkeeper Adam Davies will hopefully encourage more players to extend their contracts at Barnsley.

MacDonald was signed from National league Torquay in the summer but has looked every bit a Championship player during this campaign.

If we can keep hold of him, Roberts, Yiadom and Davies then we have great basis to build from.

I`m still hopeful that Scowen and Watkins will sign contracts but it is just hope rather than that I think they will.

There is a big summer ahead for Paul Heckingbottom and his staff. Can they unearth more gems like the ones mentioned above? I think it will be more difficult to do as there surely can`t be many more of that quality about who can step straight up in to the Championship with almost no problems at all.
