Ramage Out For Six Weeks

Barnsley suffered another defensive with injury with the news that Peter Ramage could miss six weeks with a thigh muscle tear.

The reds are really down to the bare bones now at the back but are hopeful that the international break will be sufficient time for Lewin Nyatanga to put his injury worries behind him and be fit to start.

Bobby Hassell is also a possibility for a return to the starting line-up but if Nyatanga isn`t fit then Flitcroft would prefer to bring in another centre back on loan than risk Hassell there.

We've certainly been unlucky with injuries at the back.

I've not really taken it into account that we've had so many injuries at the start of the season and that partially reflects upon our league position.

I think the injuries at the back and the cruel fixture list have hurt us so far this season. Now we have a run of games where we need to pick up points if we are to have a chance of survival.
