Tykes Transfer Rumours - McPhail

Tykes Transfer Rumours - McPhail

Rumours are now linking Barnsley with former player Stephen McPahil following his release from Cardiff.

Flicker did enquire about the midfielder in January but I don`t think that the interest is still there but I could be wrong.

I do see Flicker adding a creative aspect in the midfield area but I`m not sure McPhail will still be on his radar.

The form of Perkins and Dawson throughout the season, the emergence of Etuhu, Mellis continuing to improve and show his quality, O`Brien`s energy, let`s not forget Cywka, there`s plenty of competition in the midfield area and I don`t think players will be brought in to make up the numbers. Anyone signed now in this area of the pitch will have the quality to take Barnsley up a level. I wouldn`t be surprised to see Butterfield back on loan. I know that Flicker will ask and badger for this, it`s just down to Norwich then.

Barnsley seem to be linked with a move for every former player that becomes available. Is this the case for other clubs too or just ourselves?
