'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Player of the Year

The player of the year as voted by the fans went to David Perkins with Luke Steele second and Chris Dagnall third.

Martin Cranie received the player`s player of the year.

Danny Rose was young player of the year.

Rhys Oates was the academy scholar of the year and Thomas Clare was the young player of the year.

I`m pleased to see Perkins and Cranie win the two awards as I do think they have been our best two players.

I myself voted for Perkins. As for Cranie for him not to finish in the top three in the fans voting came as a shock.

Cranie has been consistent and rarely puts a foot wrong. I think he just may go unnoticed by some fans.

Having said that however I am pleased to see Steele and Dagnall get recognition for their contributions this season and deserve to be up there.
