Flickers Boys Feel The Feel Good Factor

In an article in the Sheffield Star the Gaffer has thanked the fans for buying into the relegation battle.

"The fans have joined the adventure, There`s a feelgood factor in the stadium. The atmosphere is pumped and it`s rocking. It`s an atmosphere you want to be a part of. It`s a bit of Russ Abbott."
"The positivity around the place is phenomenal. It`s a movement, and that movement is getting more powerful by each performance."
"As a group of people they [the players] are strong. They`ve come so far they don`t want to let anyone down."
"It`s a galvanized unit. It`s a unit that`s not fragmented and is united in one belief. That`s a movement that`s going to be difficult to stop."

I have total admiration to the way in which he has gone about the role, I know people who have returned to Oakwell to see the Flitcroft Brand of football. I do feel that Mickey Mellon and Martin Scott have added a lot to the Brand!

The new style and changes in my personal life have seen me return to oakwell, and become a regular on here and another forum, which I have to add is not as good as here. Your site has better news, though the forums are often not very user friendly.

Nice to see fans come back. If I stopped going I don't think I could ever bring myself to come back so I just keep putting myself through it season after season.

I know which site you mean oldtime as I do have a look myself. Their news and articles are poor but they do have a busy forum. Could do with a few of them coming over here to comment with you regular posters. Although most of them do seem to have the same attitude as Tony, no offence Tony mate but there seems to be a lot of Barnsley fans with your negative attitude out there but everyone is entitled to their say and opinion but I prefer to look for the positives, especially when there has been a lot more positives than negatives since Flicker took over.

If the team is playing bad, or the players aren't trying then you'd expect to hear criticism...but in January /February there's been nothing to moan about (Bristol game aside), so credit where it's due, come on Tony, you know you want to join in with the positivity.

Exactly, you can understand moaning when the team is doing bad but football fans to me in general seem to have become very fickle. One defeat and we are rubbish again. Did anyone listen to football heaven on radio Sheffield last night? All of the Sheffield Utd fans ringing in moaning because they drew at home and it knocked them to 2nd. I couldn't believe what I was listening to. Anyone would think they were in the bottom three with the way they criticised the team and the manager for the way they have played all season.
