Performance of the Week

Barnsley have been awarded the performance of the week award for their 3 - 2 victory away at Middlesbrough.

The reds found themselves 2 - 1 down at one stage and showed great character to come back and win the game.

The award is voted for by Howard Wilkinson, Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

Barnsley have received the award once before, when they beat Birmingham 5 - 0, let`s hope we don`t go on a run like we did after that one.

Hope all these good news stories can continue until the end of the season!... Come on Tony, surely this will put a smile on your face..?.. but alas, I think it's going to take something extra special to do that.

I am pleased with this and it was well deserved by the sounds of things but as it says look what happened after the last time we got it.
