Reuben Puts Pen to Paper

Reuben Noble-Lazarus has signed a contract extension with Barnsley that will keep him at Oakwell until 2015.

Flicker was delighted with the deal feels that Reuben will become an important player for Barnsley and someone who is able to score and create goals.

Flicker also credits Guy Proctor with the work he has done with Reuben, something which he also did on Monday night with regards to John Stones and Ricardo Vaz Te.

I think this deal can only be good for the club. To get all of the youngster tied down on long term deals is great. Hopefully they will go on and contribute a lot for the football club and possibly even bring in big money as Stones did.

a common sense move by the club and thank goodness Reuben signed. its a shame we cant have 11 lads from out academy on the 1st team squad list.but i understand the ecomomics involved, unless we can generate more money, via bums on seats then some of our assets have to be sold.

A good move by Barnsley to tie the youngsters down. This one however needs to improve quickly. I think he was put in the team too early and it has got to him because most times I've seen him he's been poor.

Tony you do make a decent point about him being brought in too young but lately when he has played he has started to look the part. I'm sure Flicker can get the best out of him.
