Flicker On Our Run

Flicker On Our Run

Our Leader has today given the below interview to the Barnsley Player

You have been very quick to credit former Manager Keith Hill and Say its an amount of his work, they must be something you have done different to build this run?

Keith brought good players to this football club, but we were fighting everyone who was saying the players were not good players. If you tell players they are not good players they listen to that the dynamics were all wrong I have worked on that from day one. I brought in Mickey and Martin who from day one have seen something different, they have given me a new energy and focus and they have certainly given the players focus. We have tweaked the personnel and the players we have brought in are good people who are seen as competition not replacments. You have to adapt and overcome.

The System, why does it work so well? We have players who fit the system, Tom Kennedy has been brilliant, Etuhu playing as a dynamic midfielder. John Stones was incredible, Goldy is fit and working hard day in day out. The group are making sacrifices to do things the right way.

Much of what Flicker states is such sense and I do appreciate his loyalty to Keith Hill and agree with some points. Keith gave the club everything and brought in some good players, however the players would not play for him and wow they certainly play for Flicker.
