How Many Points Do We Need?

Now We have Serious Hope, Here at Vital Barnsley we look at how many points we may need.

I am sure we have all seen others pick up results around us recently. I hope that we are not worried by this. This will not change the total number of points we need.

Bolton and Wolves have found themselves in the battle now, and with the run Huddersfield are on I feel they will be in the battle.

The List Below shows how many points were required for survival in each of the last 12 years.

11/12 41 Points for Survival
10/11 43 Points
9/10 48 Points
8/9 47 Points
7/8 53 Points
6/7 43 Points
5/6 43 Points
4/5 51 Points
3/4 52 Points
2/3 47 Points
1/2 50 Points
0/1 49 Points

As you see the most points any club would have required over the last 12 years is 53. We currently have 31 with 16 games remaining.
The Average number of points required is 47.25.

How Many Points do the reds require for safety?? If someone offered me 50 points now, I would be happy to take my chances.

I guess what we are saying is, you don't have to worry about others, worry about Flickers Reds and White Army and cheer them towards 53 points!
