Howard Wants Reds Return

Former Barnsley skipper Brian Howard has been in touch with Barnsley about a possible return to the club.

It was Howard who approached Barnsley rather than the club going to him with a deal and a spokesman for Howard said that the ball is now firmly in Barnsley`s court.

If I were Flicker it is something I would seriously consider. Howard`s career after Barnsley has been far from successful but he clearly feels a move to Oakwell would resurrect his career.

If he still has it then Howard is just the type of player we need, someone who can get forward from midfield and score and create goals. I would certainly take a chance on him on a contract until the end of the season.
