Flicker In Plea to Fans

Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has made a plea to fans to 'bury the hatchet` with Scott Wiseman.

The Barnsley boss made this plea has it looks increasingly unlikely that Wiseman will be leaving the club during the transfer window.

Flicker said it`s time for the fans to put a side whatever problems they have with Wiseman and support the team and the player as he will be needed and used in the crucial run in to the end of the season.

I sincerely hope that we the fans take on board what Flicker has said and support the team and Wiseman.

This type of plea is not one that a manager should have to make on behalf of a player but he has had to make it because of the treatment the player has received from the fans.

I believe that as Barnsley fans we should be ashamed that this has had to be done and I urge everyone to get behind the player the next time he pulls on the shirt.

It said in the paper today that Appleton wants Wiseman at Blackburn I think you're right though, the lad hasnt done anything wrong and the fans should get off his back.
OraStandFan
Well said! Anyone would think the lad had committed a serious crime, he doesn't go out on the pitch and think "I'm not going to try today". Hope he's man of the match and scores the winning goal for us next time he plays..?
Engleberthumbertyke
Well said Englebert. If players don't try then they fully deserve hammer from the fans but all this lad has done is give his best every time he has pulled on the shirt but has been crucified more than someone who has committed a serious crime.
