Dawson Out For 6 to 8 Weeks

Dawson Out For 6 to 8 Weeks

News from Oakwell is that Stephen Dawson is set to miss six to eight weeks with ligament damage.

This is a big blow for Barnsley in our survival fight as Dawson along with Perkins have been our most important players in the engine room this season.

I don`t think Flicker will go in to the transfer market for a replacement as his priorities will remain a centre forward and centre back.

Jim O`Brien should be fit again for the next game and could come straight back in in a deeper role with Mellis retaining his position supporting the front two.

Other options are available to Barnsley boss. Etuhu came on for Dawson at Ipswich and of course fans are calling for Bobby Hassell to come in to the team and play as a holding midfielder.

I think Flicker will go for O`Brien if he is fit enough but he may wait until after the cup game at Hull to bring him back in to the team.
