Davies Departure Confirmed

Davies Departure Confirmed

The departure of Craig Davies has been confirmed after the striker signed for Bolton for an undisclosed fee believed to be £300,000.

Davies is Barnsley`s leading goal scorer this season with nine and has netted 20 goals from 64 appearances for Barnsley.

Davies has signed a contract with Bolton until the summer of 2015.

Many reds fans will be unhappy with only receiving £300,000 but for a man out of contract in the summer who we signed for nothing it is better than a kick in the teeth.

Barnsley`s striking options are now virtually none existent and the new manager will have a lot of work to do with regards to recruitment in January.

It would appear it was good money as he hasn't kicked a ball in anger for us yet.
