Butcher to Decide Today

Butcher to Decide Today

Talks will resume today between Barnsley and Terry Butcher before Butcher makes a decision on whether or not to take the manager`s job.

Don Rowing described yesterday`s talks as constructive while Butcher`s agent quashed rumours that he would turn down the job and that more talks were needed.

Barnsley midfielder Stephen Dawson assured whoever the new manager will be that there is a set of players at the club who will give everything and fight until the very last whistle.

If Butcher does turn down the job then Barnsley will find themselves in a bit of a predicament having seen their first two choices turn them down and no manager in place for the Leeds game.
