Barnsley Miss Out On Butterfield & Church

Barnsley Miss Out On Butterfield & Church

Barnsley yesterday missed out on two potential loan signings with both players moving to Championship rivals.

Reading striker Simon Church was on Keith Hill`s radar but the striker opted to go to tomorrows opponents Huddersfield Town.

Barnsley also made an enquiry to bring Jacob Butterfield back on loan. Butterfield himself was interested but Bolton were also in for him and Norwich decided that Bolton was the better option.

Keith Hill revealed that the club should have an answer on a striker this morning. That player is believed to be Leicester City Martyn Waghorn.

Waghorn is a player who big things were expected of. It hasn`t quite happened for him yet but the potential is there. He probably just needs to be at a club like Barnsley where he will play week in week out so let`s hope the reds can pull this one off.
