Hill Bemoans Negativity

Hill Bemoans Negativity

Barnsley boss Keith Hill spoke in his pre match press conference of the constant negativity surrounding the team and him.

Hill is completely bemused by how much negativity comes with any defeat or below par performance. He seemed to put most of the blame on the press but there was a slight hint at a dig at the fans too.

Barnsley work on a small budget but it seems the fans and press demand Brazil/Barcelona football and to win every time they step onto the field. Hill cannot understand this mentality and states that it is not like that other clubs of Barnsley`s stature and even at bigger clubs.

The Barnsley boss believes that everything written with regards to Barnsley starts with something negative and in general has a negative overview surrounding the team.

As a Barnsley fan myself I do agree the fans expect too much from the team at times and often moan about players who`s praises they were singing in the last match. I think the fans should look at the positives and try to get behind the team no matter what.

Hill is clearly frustrated with this and I can see why.
