McGoldrick & Tudgay Linked

Barnsley are hoping to add either David McGoldrick or Marcus Tudgay to their squad before Saturday`s visit to Hull.

Reds boss Keith Hill is desperate for added fire power in a thread bare attack that has star striker Craig Davies out injured.

24 year old McGoldrick is currently on loan at Coventry City from Nottingham Forest. He has scored eight goals in 14 appearances for Coventry this season including six in his last six games.

Tudgay, also a Forest player, is way down the pecking order following his return from a double hernia operation.

Rumours are also beginning to circulate that Davies could be set to leave Oakwell following contract negotiations stalling. This makes the need for a striker even more pressing.

McGoldrick certainly seems to be on form all be it in a lower league. Tudgay has always been a quality player but will be farm from match fit.

At the moment though I would say anyone will do as there isn`t much to choose from at the club at the minute.
