England Call for Stones

John Stones has been rewarded for his recent displays in the Barnsley first team with a call to the England under 19 squad.

Stones who made his full debut at Rochdale this season could also be joined by midfielder Paul Digby in the squad who is on standby should anyone withdraw.

Former reds coach Noel Blake is in charge of the under 19`s and he guided them to the semi-finals of the European Championships this year losing 2 - 1 to Greece.

Stones described the call as a huge honour and I`m sure that everyone involved with Barnsley will be delighted for him.
