New Deal for Digby

New Deal for Digby

Barnsley Midfielder Paul Digby has signed a contract extension to 2015. This only months after penning his first professional contract that would have taken him to 2014.

Reds boss Keith Hill sees Digby has one for the future and one who could be a star for Barnsley if he fulfils his potential.

In my opinion the deal is a good one. It`s about time Barnsley started tying their quality youngster down on longer deals. We will then be in a position to negotiate if the big clubs do come knocking and not have another Butterfield situation.

Digby is yet to become a first team regular but is still young. I see this season as one where he will be in and around the first team but it may be too soon for him to cement a regular place.
