Squad Review 2011/12

Squad Review 2011/12

Everyone at Barnsley loves Bobby Hassell and rightly so. What a fantastic servant he`s been to the club and model professional as well.

I was very surprised to see him out of the team at the beginning of the season but he soon found himself back in favour and steadied the ship.

Injury played a big part in his season and because of that missed the crucial run in that could have become more problematic for Barnsley had it not been for Portsmouth`s 10 point deduction.

In the few games before his injury Bobby seemed to be struggling a bit particularly against some quicker wingers. I hope this was due to him carrying the injury and not because he is now in decline as a Championship player.

One thing you will always get from Sir Bobby is 100 per cent commitment and I hope he still has enough in his locker to continue at Barnsley for a few seasons yet.

Season rating 7/10.

ow do you rate the player`s performance over the season?
