The big defender spent 7 years at Oakwell where he was a key figure throughout his time at the club. His career somewhat troughed after life with Barnsley, going on loan during their Premiership season to York and then Oxford before making the move permanent. He ended his playing career at the conference side Nantwich before turning his attentions to coaching. Guiding Nantwich to two promotions in 3 years and winning the FA Vase he quickly snapped up a move to Crewe Alexandra alongside former reds boss Gudjon Thordarson. After Dario Gradi stepped down in late November, Davis now occupies the role as first team manager.
