Reds to Sign Collins

Reds to Sign Collins

Barnsley look set to pull off the signing of Lee Collins from Port Vale after a fee was agreed for the defender.

The deal is expected to be complete in time for the Reading game on Saturday.

The 23 year old will sign on loan until the end of the season initially the deal becoming permanent in the summer.

Collins can operate at either centre back or full back and will provide much needed competition and cover for the run in to the end of the season.

Collins has made over 100 appearances for Port Vale after beginning his career at Wolves.

Vale have recently entered administration and are looking to get some players out of the club to ease the finances.
