Where are they now? Promotion squad 96/97
Central defender De Zeeuw was Barnsley`s rock during the promotion to the Premier League. At his peak De Zeeuw guided Barnsley to promotion after a move from home club Telstar.
He later moved on to Premier League outfits Wigan and then Portsmouth where he played under Harry Redknapp and played alongside Teddy Sheringham. De Zeeuw had his contract terminated at Coventry City in 2008 and signed for a team in his home nation Holland.
De Zeeuw is now a forensic investigation detective in the Netherlands. He also does the occasional bit of television work.
