Tonge Hints at permanent deal
New loan signing Michael Tonge has hinted that if everything goes well during his half season at Oakwell, he would be prepared to extend his stay beyond May.
Any permanent deal would however hinge on Tonge ripping up the final year of his Stoke City contract as the reds would be unable to match his current wages. It seenms though Tonge would be willing to do this he stated 'My contract is out at the end of next season, but if there was the chance of coming to Barnsley permanently at the end of this season, then I'd look at it'.
Meanwhile the potters are also willing to loan out former tyke Diego Arismendi, after an unsuccesful loan at Oakwell last season.
