'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wednesday take the Mike

Sheffield Wednesday have beaten local rivals Barnsley FC to the signing of Bury's exiting midfielder Mike Jones.

Out of contract in the summer Jones's fee will have been significally reduced and it is believed wages have played a part in his decision with Keith stating 'It`s nobody`s fault we missed out on him, we knew he was out of contract in the summer, but they`ve obviously offered him some good money'.

Jones is a player that BFC have been linked with for some time yet this hasn't deterred his quest for new players, Hill stated 'Mike was one of a number of players we`ve been looking at, so we`ll have to see what happens before the transfer window shuts. We`ve got a list of players we`d like to sign and we`ll continue to look at them to see if they`re going to be available'
