Drinkwater Joins Reds

The Reds have completed the loan signing of Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

The England Youth international will stay at Barnsley until January 2nd 2012 and will help bolster manager Keith Hill's options in midfield.

Hill told the club's official site: 'Danny's a very good technician who is dynamic and has Championship experience.'

Drinkwater, whose pedigree is assured by virtue of the identity of his parent club, had spells with both Cardiff City and Watford last season.
