Reds Seeded In Carling Cup

Reds Seeded In Carling Cup

Barnsley have been seeded in the Carling Cup First Round draw which will published tomorrow morning.

The Carling Cup First Round Draw is a little bit different to the more conventional F.A. Cup draw.

The country is divided first into Northern and Southern sections. Within each section a draw is made to decide if each seeded club will play at home or away. Then the club is drawn against an unseeded club from their section.

The teams Barnsley could face, home or away in the first round are:

Accrington Stanley, Bradford City, Burton Albion, Bury, Chesterfield, Crewe Alexandra, Hartlepool United, Macclesfield Town, Morecambe, Notts County, Oldham Athletic, Port Vale, Rotherham United, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury Town, Tranmere Rovers or Walsall.

Vital Barnsley is now available on both facebook and twitter, so if you are that way inclined and more importantly understand all this new fangled dangled stuff, feel free to watch us, poke us or whatever else you are meant to do there!
