Tykes Snap Up Striker

Barnsley have agreed a deal with Chesterfield striker Craig Davies to join at the end of his current contract with the Spirites on July 1st.

Davies, 25, plundered 25 goals for League 2 Champions Chesterfield last term and is excited at the step up to the Championship with his new club. He told Barnsley's Official Website: 'It's going to be a big jump but I'm confident I can do it.'

The Welsh international has played in the Championship before with Wolves and knows that hard work is the key to success in any division. He continued: 'I've just got to work hard and do what the management team are telling me and hopefully get the goals.'
