Wilson Favourite For Reds Return

In light of the resignation of Mark Robins from the position of manager of Barnsley Football Club, Danny Wilson has emerged as the early favourite for the post.

Wilson is listed as the 4/1 favourite by Skybet, followed by Roberto Di Matteo and Chris Hughton.

Wilson resigned as manager of Swindon Town earlier this year, leaving them in the relegation zone of League 1. Swindon were eventually relegated.

Opinion is divided amongst Barnsley supporters on Wilson returning to the club after he left for rivals Sheffield Wednesday following the Reds' relegation from the Premier League in 1998 but he is still the only manager to have ever guided the Reds to England's top tier of football, surprising everyone and finishing second in Division 1 in the 1996/97 season.
