O'Connor A Goner

O'Connor A Goner

Just over three months after joining Barnsley on a permanent contract, Garry O'Connor has left the club.

Barnsley confirmed this afternoon, via their official website, that the 27-year-old ex-Birmingham City striker has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

O'Connor scored 4 goals for Barnsley in his 22 appearances for the club, joining initially on loan from Birmingham City and then signing a deal until the end of the current season on January 1st.

He played just two minutes of first team football for the Reds in their last five matches, coming on in the 89th minute as a substitute at Crystal Palace.

What do you make of O'Connor's departure?
