Robins Happy With Draw

Robins Happy With Draw

Speaking after the match at Pride Park with Derby County, Barnsley boss Mark Robins was philosophical in his analysis of the game.

He told BBC Sheffield: 'We got a point away from home and when you don't look like you're going to win the game, the important thing is you don't lose it.'

Robins' 'glass half full' philosophy on this game might be lost on some Barnsley fans, who perhaps thought that Derby were there for the taking, but a clean sheet and a point away from home are a step in the right direction.

Robins continued: 'It was a massive plus with Jay McEveley coming in and performing like he has after being out for as long as he has. The clean sheet's fine. Luke Steele's made a couple of important saves. It was a difficult one and unfortunately on the day it just passed us by in the end.'

With Derby County going into the game after a run of five consecutive home defeats, it was a great opportunity for Barnsley to bag only their fourth away win of the campaign and continue the Rams' misery in front of their own fans, but it wasn't to be.

Instead, the Reds slip to 16th in the table and sit 9 points above the drop zone and their next opponents Scunthorpe United
