Harewood Joins Barnsley

As the season enters the final run-in, Barnsley have once again moved to strengthen their front line by bringing in Marlon Harewood on loan from Blackpool.

In a bid to be more lethal in front of goal, Mark Robins is looking to the former Nottingham Forest hitman to bag goals for the Reds as they go for their best finish since returning to the Championship.

Harewood, a promotion winner with Newcastle United, has scored 5 goals in the Premier League this term with newly promoted Blackpool in 16 appearances and will be available for selection for the Reds' home match with Norwich City today.

Robins credited Patrick Cryne for helping to make the move possible and this capture must be viewed by Barnsley fans as both a step forward and an huge indication of the club's growing ambition.
