Robins Confirms Jennings Interest

Rumours have been hot for a couple of months that Barnsley are one of the clubs looking at Tranmere Rovers youngster Dale Jennings.

Mark Robins confirmed today that Barnsley are looking at the youngster amongst a few other targets.

Robins said: 'He's a player we've looked at but he's a young one. He's got plenty of potential. If Adam is to leave we need to replace him with somebody who is going to come in and pick up that mantle.'

Jennings, who turned 18 in December, has five league goals from this season and has attracted the interest of a host of clubs in higher leagues.

A step up in the divisions might be a lot to ask of Jennings should he come to Barnsley and it would be more of an ask for him to fill Adam Hammill's goalscoring boots.
