'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Robins Not Dispirited By Barnsley Performance

Barnsley manager Mark Robins wasn't too disappointed with the performance of his side in their 1-0 defeat away at Swansea City today.

Speaking to the club's official website he said: 'We wanted to play Swansea at their own game today and we came off second best but that is the type of football we want to play.'

To be fair, Barnsley had their chances against a slick passing Swansea side and Robins clearly knows what he wants from his side and it should only be a matter of time before it comes together and he gets it right.

He continued: 'I thought we defended pretty well or as well as you can against that.'

Barnsley did well to keep the score down to just 1-0 and Nathan Dyer was extremely unfortunate not to have capped his Man of the Match performance with a goal.

'It was just not our day today but I am not too disappointed with the performance against a very, very good footballing side.'

It was always going to be a tough ask of Barnsley to get something from one of the best sides in the league, who sat 4th in the table before the game but the Reds could have sneaked something from this game with Swansea failing to capitalise on some good possession.
