Miller Could Soon Be A Tyke

Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson has confirmed that the Imps' young defender Kern Miller has been training with Barnsley for the last couple of days.

The Reds are looking to strengthen their defensive line in January 2011 when the transfer window opens again and have been reported to be interested in another loan move for Stoke City's Ryan Shotton.

However, Kern Miller, a product of Lincoln City's youth academy, is out of contract in January and could be ideal cover for a defence that is a little thin on the ground with Luke Potter and Jay McEveley out with injuries.

Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: 'He's out of contract in December which isn't fantastic for us. At the moment he's keeping his options open but he could well go to Barnsley.'
