Robins Hopes To Bring Back O'Connor

Robins Hopes To Bring Back O'Connor

Mark Robins has announced that he is trying to bring Birmingham City striker Garry O'Connor back to Oakwell.

O'Connor is out of favour at St. Andrews at the moment, having been out for most of last season with an injury and Blues boss Alex McLeish wants the Scottish striker to get some games under his belt to get up to speed with the rest of the first team.

If it comes off, it will be O'Connor's second spell at Oakwell. He spent a month with Barnsley back in September, scoring once in four appearances.

The front pairing of O'Connor and Paul Hayes would be very interesting to see. It's just a shame that the majority of strikers at the club are not our own.
