Barnsley Career:

Paul Hayes joined Barnsley amid contraversial circumtances in the summer of 2005 from Scunthorpe United. He enjoyed a fantastic first season in a Barnsley shirt, helping fire the Reds into the Play-Off Final and scored at Cardiff against Swansea as the Reds triumphed to earn their place back in the Championship.

In the Reds' first season back in the Championship Hayes was forced out of the reckoning and the appointment of Simon Davey saw Hayes drop down the pecking order with the arrival of a few new faces. He left in the summer of 2007 to return to Scunthorpe United.
