Matt Hill Joins Barnsley

Matt Hill Joins Barnsley

Following the serious injury to regular Reds left back James McEveley, Mark Robins has dipped straight into the loan market to sign Wolves left back Matt Hill.

McEveley sustained medial ligament damage in last night's 3-0 defeat to Burnley at Turf Moor, with young defender Luke Potter replacing him for the remainder of the game.

Robins has however moved to find a more senior replacement for McEveley in the shape of Premier League full back Hill, 29.

Hill has signed a one month emergency loan deal at Oakwell and will go straight into the squad for the Reds' trip to the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.
