Hammill Back In Top Form For Barnsley
One player who looks to have certainly benefited from the rest brought by the international break is Adam Hammill.
The Barnsley winger has been in scintillating form this term, scoring four goals already from midfield and helping to set up many more of the Reds' goals.
The culmination of his form so far was at home to Leeds United, when he set up four of the Reds' five goals, adding the fifth himself to complete a 5-2 rout in front of a jubilant Oakwell crowd.
Saturday's home game to Nottingham Forest continued in the same vein, with Hammill knocking the ball across the face of the Forest goal for Nathan Doyle to score the easiest goal he ever will and playing a sliderule pass through to substitute Jacob Butterfield to make the points safe for the Reds with minutes to go, after Andy Gray had converted from the penalty spot.
If Barnsley can keep the winger fit and find some form away from home sooner rather than later, a climb into the play-offs doesn't look beyond the club at all.
