Wood On Target But Cautioned For Celebration

Wood On Target But Cautioned For Celebration

On loan striker Chris Wood netted the opening goal on the stroke of half-time in New Zealand's 1-1 draw with Honduras in front of a crowd of over 18,000.

It was the big 18-year-old's first goal for his country and he celebrated in bizzarre fashion, revealing some red and white underpants with the word 'Woodzee' printed on them. He was duly cautioned.

Wood has made 3 appearances for the Reds in his loan spell from Premier League club West Brom, but is yet to score in Barnsley colours. Well, the red and white undies don't count do they?

Ex-Reds Leo Bertos and Jeremy Christie also featured in the match, whilst Rory Fallon and David Mulligan were unused substitutes.
