Canaries Have History On Their Side Over Barnsley
If the history books are anything to go by, Barnsley will be delighted with a solitary point from Saturday's game at Carrow Road.
The Reds travel to take on Norwich City in the nPower Championship and are hoping to overturn a 73 year hoodoo that has stopped them from taking maximum points from Carrow Road since a 1-0 victory in May 1937.
73 years is the second longest period of time the Reds have failed to win on the road at a particular Championship venue for, with only Coventry City getting the better of the Canaries. The Reds haven't won there since a 3-2 win in 1923, one of only two away victories over the Sky Blues.
That's probably a contributing factor to why you can get odds of around 3/1 for a Barnsley win on Saturday. But it's long overdue and therefore worth a punt.
I'm afraid, Norwich fans, it's about time WE be 'avin YOU! (You'll never live that down. Ever.)
