Souza's Back!

Souza's Back!

Last night there was another familiar face back at Oakwell besides one time Barnsley striker Michael Boulding.

Back in the UK from a spell in Qatar and looking for a new club, ex-Reds defender Denis Souza pulled on a Barnsley shirts again to face Derby County in the reserves fixture at Oakwell.

His presence in the defence however didn't help greatly on this occasion, with Derby County running riot 6-2.

Brazilian born Souza, who turned 30 last week spent two seasons at Barnsley under Simon Davey, making 87 appearances and scoring two goals. He established himself as a firm favourite with the Oakwell crowd, forging a good partnership in defence with loanee Lewin Nyatanga.

If there is more on this story to come, Vital Barnsley will have it covered.
