Steele Hopes For ''Special'' Season

Barnsley goalkeeper Luke Steele hopes his side can push on to have a 'special' season this campaign.

The Peterborough-born stopper put to bed a series of errors to keep a clean sheet on his side`s way to a fine 2-0 victory over promotion-hopefuls Middlesborough this afternoon.

A series of fine stops against Gordon Strachan`s men did much to inspire his side on to keep up their one hundred per cent Championship home form - conceding no goals and picking up six points from two games.

Steele told the club`s official website: "I know myself when I have made a mistake and there have been a couple of goals this season where I should have done better but you have to move on and try to have a good game.

"I thought we looked a really, really good Championship side in the second half and that is definitely something to take from this game today."

The former Manchester United man thinks the Reds can go on to achieve anything in the Championship this season after picking up seven points from their previous three outings:

"The dressing room is buzzing at the moment and it is a real change from last week at Bristol. Hopefully we can keep this ball rolling now and it can snowball into something special."

Mark Robins` side now have a fortnight to wait for their next nPower Championship clash - an away trip to club captain Jason Shackell`s former employers, Norwich City.
