Barnsley Sign McEveley

Barnsley have finally completed the signing of Scottish International Jay McEveley.

The full back has agreed terms to come to Oakwell on a two year deal after he left Derby County this summer.

With 3 caps to his name, McEveley has been on Robins' radar for some time and the Oakwell boss fought off competition from other clubs to bring Jay to Barnsley.

The 25 year old made over 100 appearances for the Rams after signing for them for a six figure sum in 2007 from Blackburn Rovers.

He slots into Robins' plans nicely after loanee Carl Dickinson left a gap on the left side of defence by returning to parent club Stoke City at the end of last season.
