'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No Moore Darren

Barnsley boss Mark Robins has revealed the list of players he will be retaining this summer as he prepares for next season.

In an article on the club's official site, Barnsley announced that veteran Darren Moore will not be one of the players offered a new contract at Oakwell in the summer and will therefore have to find a new club.

It was only a few days ago that Darren told the press that he would love to stay at Barnsley and be part of the Robins Revolution, but the 36 year old defender has been told that his contract will not be renewed at Barnsley.

It is disappointing to see players leave but particularly in Darren's case because you can tell he has a lot of passion for not only the game but also the club.

Wherever he's been in his career he's been a favourite with the fans and it will be very sad to see him go but at 36, it may be time for him to end his playing career or descend into an easier division.
